Howdy folks,
Here’s a quick update on my journey through life, and the trials and tribulations along the way.
Twenty-seven days off the fegs

First things first: I’ve now been off the fegs for 27 days, and I’ve gotta say, I’m delighted with my progress so far. I’m still taking it one day at a time, of course.
There have been occasions when that little nicotine devil has been a constant voice in my head, and some days have been a real struggle. But through sheer willpower and determination, I’ve managed to silence it and ignore the cravings.
Thankfully, those days were mainly during the first few weeks. As time has gone on, I’ve found it much easier to shut the cravings down and move past them. In fact, the longer I stay off the fegs, the stronger my determination becomes. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and so are my kids and family.
The follow-up X-ray

I’ve got a follow-up X-ray in a few weeks, and I’m hoping that what showed up on the previous one was simply a nasty chest infection. Now that it has cleared up, I’m hoping the next X-ray will show there’s nothing there.
I’m trying not to dwell on it, because if I did, it would haunt me. But if I’m completely honest, I’m still terrified that perhaps I’ve left it too late to give up and the damage has already been done.
Fingers crossed that everything turns out OK.
The movie dream

A few of you have asked how my quest to have my story turned into a movie or television drama is going. Because my health has been a bit fragile lately, I haven’t been able to give it the focus it deserves.
That said, I do have a few producers and film-industry movers and shakers looking into it. As soon as I have more news to share, I’ll let you all know through my blog and social media.
And now for the exciting news…
I’m going to become a grandfather for the first time!
My baby girl Autumn is expecting a baby !

The new addition to our clan is due in April next year. Autumn and her fella are delighted, and so am I—and the rest of the family. I know she is 27 but she will always be my baby girl and I’ll be worrying about her and the baby throughout her pregnancy
It’s another very good reason for me to stay off the fegs and start taking better care of myself and my health.
Cruise fund and Christmas

I’m still saving for my cruise and hope to get away at some stage next year. But it’s bloody expensive, and despite being a bestselling author, I’m far from rich! So, if you’re feeling generous, you can make a donation below.
Finally, it’s only 68 days until Christmas. My book makes a great gift for anyone who love reading or have an interest in the Northern Ireland Troubles. You’ll find the link below 😉
Thanks, as always, for following my journey and for all your support.
